Im doing this project right now with my 4 and 5 year olds. I purchased a book on butterflies, and we read it together while waiting for the caterpillars to be delivered. FYI-you do need to send in an order form, and $6.50 once you have the "butterfly garden" to recieve your caterpillars-(I thought that was a little much considering you are already shelling out 15-20.00 for what amounts to a netted popup bag that is rigid and has a zipper door-but the kids are really enjoying this). My daughters' teacher actually collects caterpillars from her yard when she does this project to add to the fun. ~Dawn |

My son's class did this, too -- it's neat, and it works. I saw this at Walmart for about the same price (then the extra $6.50 for the caterpillars), so that's another option if this appeals to you....
