I own this computer and it's very good for home use. The control panel does put the computer to sleep if it's not being used for 15 minutes but you can simply go into control panel where you would choose screensavers and wallpapers and just shut it off. It does not have the slot for the digital camera SD little discs, but you buy a cable to plug in that accepts those little discs. Microsoft Office 2007 is just for 60 days trial. If you prefer you can buy one on Amazon and I even have found that as little as I use Office at home I just bought a new copy of Office '97 on Amazon for $40 and it does everything I need for home use. This computer is highly rated 4.5 stars for most home users. I can watch Netflix movies online or even the ones that are mailed to me. I don't know about game playing on this unit as I do not play computer games. When the Norton Security trial expires a window pops open all the time reminding you to update. The update brings you onto the Norton website and puts a $49.95 update in your shopping cart. If you shop on this site you'll find the same home update is selling for $39.95. Just add the cheaper version to your shopping cart then delete the more expensive version. After you enter you credit card info check the cart again to be sure that they haven't switched the product again because that website keeps trying to sell that $49.95 version to you again. I bought this unit on sale for $299 and I am very glad I did. It does not come with a monitor but does include a wired mouse and keyboard.
