**SIGN UP FOR FREEBIES AT YOUR OWN RISK**

While we do our best to check out every offer for legitimacy some sites may generate spam. I suggest you use a junk email address for freebie hunting.

Please only request freebies you actually need and will use!

Perform a search before posting to avoid duplicate posts.

Do not post anything that is not entirely free in this section. This includes stuff that requires a SASE or Shipping charge. We have a sub forum for that here:
link

If you like an offer, say so in a word or two. Feedback is encouraged.

When you receive something you signed up for share it with us here:
link People love to see what you actually get and if you are really into it if you see someone received something chances are yours is on the way! Most offers do really come.

Test the link and make sure the offer is valid before posting it.

Above all have fun and enjoy the Freebies!

Check out all the other great deals you can find at DT here:deals galore

An effective way to search for freebies

user posted image

1. Company or Name of Product (I usually search both)

2. Change this to All Forums

user posted image

3. Click Search

I have had great results in searching this way and preventing reposts. smile.gif

Thank you, hrydhswyfe! wavey.gif

If you do not already use a form filler, i highly recommend Roboform. Once you enter your information, you can now fill in forms (for freebies and contests) with once click. No more carpal tunnel wrist trying to fill in all that information over and over again. It is free and I have never had a problem.

Roboform is the top-rated Password Manager and Web Form Filler that completely automates password entering and form filling.
RoboForm was named PC Magazine Editor's Choice, and CNET Download.com's Software of the Year. RoboForm:
Memorizes your passwords and Logs You In automatically.
Fills long registration and checkout forms with one click.
Encrypts your passwords to achieve complete security.
Generates random passwords that hackers cannot guess.
Fights Phishing by filling passwords only on matching web sites.
Defeats Keyloggers by not using keyboard to type passwords.
Backs up your passwords, Copies them between computers.
Synchronizes passwords between computers using GoodSync.
Searches for keywords in your passwords, notes and Internet.
Portable: Pass2Go RF runs from USB key, no install needed.
PDA-friendly: sync your passwords to Pocket PC and Palm.
Neutral: works with Internet Explorer, AOL/MSN, Firefox.

I have noticed a very large number of reposts lately. Reposts are not good in freebie land as then people think it is a NEW offer and sign up only to be told they already have signed up. Search and if you find the offer, post a response and move it to the top letting people know it is still valid.

The same goes for expired offers, if you find one, post and let us know so we can move it to the expired section.

Thanks to everyone that makes this such a great freebie forum.

Have fun! smile.gif

We are working on some of the text, but the Entire Site on the drop down, is really only deals. emote_blush.gif
If you choose the All Forums option, it will search the whole site.
Sorry about the confusion.

No problem. sometimes the search just does not work--happens to me. I have reposted myself before emote_blush.gif

I do not even search all forums I just do the use the search box that is in the free stuff forum. That seems to work pretty good but, as I said does not always work.

I just wanted to remind people as I got some PMs about it. yes.gif

I wonder what the difference is when you search on All forums vice using the search box in freebies unsure.gif

I have filled forms for some things and never recieved them too but for the most part I get Id say 95% of the stuff I fill out forms for.

Some freebies seem to take months to arrive while others will get here in a week.

Just keep filling out the forms and checking your mail yes.gif

I am not sure after a year why you do not get anything. That is very odd. I, like Tammy, get about 90-95% of things posted. Maybe you have a mail thief unsure.gif

There are a few sites that are known to be bad for generating spam or viruses, or that work on a referral-based system (which is not allowed here at DealTaker!) or something like that. The administrators have taken many of those and put them into a "bad-word" filter. This changes the links to be something like this example.

If you'd like me to look at it, feel free to p.m. the link to me -- you might have to "tweak it" a little bit (like put in an underscore or something) -- just tell me how you've tweaked it so it can be reviewed.

[color=#CC33CC]Just my thought, not sure if the right place to post (still a newbie to site) For all the filling in all the questions and all the info and all the personal info, for your email box to go over the quotta in one day for a scratch a sniff, or a postcard when claim that they sending a sample, IS IT WORTH MAKIN MY FINGERS HURT, AND MY EYES GO CROSSED? LOL

I think so, why I asked myself?
Becuase its free and I dont have anything better to do but to sit online at work all day...

Whats your thoughts?
I know im addicted to this cool site!!!Good work dealtaker!!! computer.gif

I can understand they run out of freebies. But at least send you an email they ran out. Sorry. A few times I tried signing up for a Jose Cuervo T Shirt. When the first time I sign up. It says after I fill out the form. Thank You. Your shirt will arrive shortly. It was like 3 months later no shirt. Go back again. They are still taking orders for the freebie. Sign up again. It's been over a year and no shirt. There have been others that don't follow through on the freebie. They too did not send a email saying they ran out. Makes me wonder. I think some places just take all the names and use it to send out spam junk.

One place was to give me a freebie. Oh they required you to fill out a survey. It said you did not have to accept any offers. Stupid me gave a real number. But to my cell phone. Someone called about me doing some online college program. I said not interested. They said well I signed up on some site for something. My name was given out in hopes I was interested in what they had to offer. I got rude with them. Said I'm on the do not call list. I thank you for not calling me again. Of course when the call came in. It shows annonymous caller. Well on Search Bug.com I put the number in and found the place that called. I learned quickly. If they insist on a phone number. Give a fake one. Also don't give them your internet providers email adress. I have others like Yahoo and Hotmail I give when I sign up for freebies. Let all the junk mail go there. Then there are some companies who have sent email they ran out appologizing. That if they do an offer again they'd let me know so I can sign up.

In the same I have gotten some really good freebies. When they were giving away the Schick Quattro shaver for women. I got 3. One week I got the one I signed up for. Some weeks later a 2nd one came. I thought Ooh cool. Then maybe a month or so after #2 came. I got #3. Said boy this is a freebie that keeps giving. I got a glucose meter the other week from One Touch. No I'm not diabetic. But bil has no insurance now and does have to test his sugar. So I'll give it to him. Or I got a free full size tube of the new Crest toothpaste from Sams Club online some months back. I got a free toaster oven for filling out surveys on My Survey.com Gevalia sent me like an over 60$ coffee maker for buying 10$ worth of coffee. The coffee was good. Just after buying the 10$ worth of coffee and recieving your coffee maker. You can cancell your membership and have to buy nothing more. Not sure if they still are doing that offer. But got that one several months back.

There are new offers on here every day and I basically fill out the form for the freebie and then wait for the mailman. I guess 7 out of 10 items come.

I never participate in sites that say you can get something for free and then proceed to have you fill out an endless survey or want you to buy so many offers from different levels and use a credit card.

I never give my credit card number for any freebie.

Don't have too many complaints about not receiving a freebie, as there are always plenty more to come.

Hey dizi,

That has not really been defined. It has really just been a judgement call. Maybe we could start a thread for YMMV deals. What do you think?

Hi pinkpercolator emote_welcome.gif

I agree SteelersPeep wavey.gif

I do my best to weed thru the "fake" freebie offers but, there will always be some items that do not arrive. My attitude is hey it is a freebie. If it comes great. I get enough stuff to fill a closet, donate to elderly homes/abused women shelters and share with friends so I am a happy freebie hunter and always have been. yes.gif

Might be a good idea-I don't always look in the YMMV's, and I'll bet there are a lot of others who don't as well, but I have been finding all these free cosmetics giveaways at stores, and would like to post them here so more people get to take advantage of them! Since it's "free" and not "with purchase", they probably should have their own thread!
Thanks for your response! wavey.gif

wavey.gif Hi, pinkpercolator!
There are a ton of freebies that I sign up for but don't get, but find that other people are getting them even though I signed up for them first! Doesn't make sense, but ya win some-ya lose some... wink.gif I too have a "spam" email address that I use for freebies and such. I also have a message phone number that I got through www.K7.net, and the messages get sent to my email. The only time I'll give my real number out is when I'm entering a contest. There are so many freebies out there that look legitimate, but aren't, and some that look fake but are legit! Tshirts inparticular don't ever come for me! But it looks like you've gotten yourself some great freebies, so not all is lost, right!? wink.gif

Ok I am going to make a thread and sticky it and we can post YMMV deals in there and we will see if that works. wink.gif yes.gif

This is the 2nd time that I have posted 2-3 freebies (1:40am 2/3/07, specifically, was the last time) The Roc first 50 daily and the free tea were my original posts. I searched to make sure they weren't reposts and posted them. I come back this morning and they had been reposted by other members. Several days ago I put my pic in and posted several new freebies. I came back later to find my pic had been deleted and I was allowed to post anymore pics and my freebie posts had been reposted by other members. Since this has happened to me twice, I don't want to be a member of this forum anymore. There are plenty of forums whose members don't do this to other members.

Bye

Sorry you feel this way but, your posts were reposts. The Roc was originally posted by another member on 1/31. You posted it several days later. Same with your other posts. If you click this link and look,
your post is still there, but since it was a repost it had to be merged. If we left all reposts in forum it would be chaos. That is why I merge them.
