I bought this earlier in the year (for $15, still a good bargain) and it looks and works great. They did not give me any hassle when I cancelled the coffee, either, since I only have an occaission to make coffee here and there, but needed one plus a couple of pounds of the coffee on hand

I was the same way, and have just canceled after my last order a couple of weeks ago. I emailed them to cancel and they responded the next day... no hassle. Their coffees are really smooth though..... smile.gif

Just a note to others; I got the same items listed here and mine had a hot plate that would heat up as soon as it was plugged in, without even turning it on. Quite a surprise to someone not expecting it, so keep your kids clear of reaching up and touching it even tho its not on. I wrote Gevalia about it, they wouldn't do anything (like as for it back to inspect it, and they said thats normal operation)

Just thought someone would be interested...

You might want to call and talk to a person in Customer Service to get an exchange for a new coffee pot. I have the same coffee pot shown here and it works fine for me.

Actually I did. This was a replacement for a replacement. The other two, however were different styles.
Am glad you have one that works well!

My Mom got one of these and it overflows 9 out of 10 times. She called them about it and they told her that the coffee was too finely ground....umm... it's their coffee and they were the ones to grind it!!! They were no help. Told her to try "mineral water" instead of tap. Huh?

Useless in my opinion.....

if she still has it I might have the fix for you; it was the first one I got from them, that is if its the carafe' model they offered some time ago. You can PM me or post here, let me know..

This is a great deal. I purchased this just now, but I had purchased the same exact deal about 1- 1 1/2 years ago for twice the price. The coffee machine stopped working after a few brews, but I called them and they said they would send me a new one. While waiting for the new machine to arrive, it was time to cancel or I would be shipped more coffee, so I canceled my membership and figured, there goes my replacement coffee pot...but about 6-8 weeks later, a box came in the mail, it was my replacement.. even after I canceled...WOW...the replacement worked just fine, and the light roast was really good, just to expensive for the amount my hubby drinks :-)
