And just a quick note....many of the items on sale for the Friday and Saturday sale are already showing up on Walmart.com at the prices listed or better...so they may make some last minute changes like they did last year!

I'm a little disappointed, anyone else? It's actually better than I thought it would be. I wasn't planning on going there but they have somethings esp. for my kids that I want to get. The digital camera with the digital photo frame I have to have that. But it won't be the first place I go probably go to Sears first to get the GPS and some other smaller items. Then Target, Toys R Us, Wal-mart, Kohls, Jc Penney. |

hmmm I was looking to see if they had the exclusive Star Wars Galactic Heroes sets out for BF. Not listed though. Wonder when they will put them out then?
Otherwise it isn't too bad. I might stop in sometime that day. |

Is this the real ad or is this a phony cause
I know deal taker was talking about that Wal Mart's ad will not posted until next week. Also, the ad is not on the BF annoucement page. I'm thinking phony.......this isn't real you guys. |

Hello!
Newbie here, just wanted to say first, I LOVE this site and seeing all the deals ahead of time!Anyways, quick ? on WalMart-- if you have a 24 hr. one, can you stay in during the night, or do they actually close from 12-5 like I think I've read elsewhere? Planning to do Circuit City or one of the others first, but if I can wait inside, might change my mind, lol. I'm new to this, never have done the doorbuster thing in the past. I tend to think this ad may be real, based on one page with a new item pic unlike any I've seen in other releases/ads. Not my favorite of the ads, though. |

Last year at our 24hr Walmart, you were allowed to come in as usual & hang out, shop, etc. They brought the BF items out on pallets all over the store, but they were covered until sale time. Once they started uncovering it was every man for himself. Oh and - welcome to DT! This post has been edited by Katnip: Nov 15 2007, 06:18 PM |

I tend to think this ad may be real, based on one page with a new item pic unlike any I've seen in other releases/ads. Not my favorite of the ads, though. As far as the 24 hr stores I think they stay open, ours did. Originally our store made you wait outside but the weather got bad so they let people wait inside. I think it really is up to each individual store, the best thing to do is call your local store and ask them how they plan on handling customers with regards to line ups on Black Friday. Maybe ask them if they have different line ups for different items, or if they have a bracelet policy. Just some added info for you. Our store set its policy with regards to the release of the PS3, and informed customers well in advance of its policy. Come 36 hours prior to the PS3's release, customers were all ready showing up to get in line for the game system, the store went ahead and formed a line with 13 chairs*if you were in a chair you got a game*. The original policy was to start the line up 12 hours before the release. Needless to say there were plenty of mad customers when some showed up before the 12 hour guideline only to find that it was changed, and they were out of luck. In other words, I would be constantly checking for updates or changes if I really wanted something bad enough. Hope that helps |

I won't be shopping at Walmart again this year. I am very disappointed.
:-( This is worse than their usual ads... that's why I am wondering, too, if this isn't some kind of hoax. Or that Walmart has some sort of trick up their sleeves.... like putting a new Black Friday ad in the Thanksgiving Day Paper? Geez... I certainly hope so! |

I have 7 things from this ad that I am buying. I wonder what their secret Thanksgiving Day Black Friday items are?!?!
So far, I am going to go to the outlet mall's midnight madness. Then: Wal-Mart, Target, Big Lots, Old Navy and Walgreens. What an exhausting day. Let the money fly!!! |

I wonder if this is the real ad too. I was in Walmart about a week ago and they had those "puffer" jackets and they were $10 then too. That does not seem like a BF deal to me if you can get the coats at that price a week ago??????

From an inquiry to Walmart (their items will be online as well as in-store):
"Walmart.com Blitz (Black Friday) advertisements will be available online beginning Monday, November 19, 2007 through Thursday, November 22, 2007 and items will be available for purchase online at some time after midnight on November 23, 2007." So.. perhaps they will be adding new "Blitz" items every day until Thanksgiving? |

This is a real ad. I received my paper in the mail today.
I want the portable dvd player, toaster/other household items for 3 dollars. I am undecided on whether I want to go or not. I don't want to get ripped apart. |

okay, well if you guys say so.
It just didn't seem real to me because after all that drama WalMart has been causing this year with their ad, I thought anything with WalMart on it had to be phony. but, I haven't got my ad yet in the mail. And i know this can't be all WalMart has to offer because they always come out with a banging BF sale every year... Guess I'll have to wait until Mon, Nov 19th to see if they're are any surprizes.... |
