No favorite really - I usually look at the ads and if there's something I just HAVE to have then I go wherever it's on sale. There are some years I don't go at all - We usually start buying early and sometimes I can get better deals ahead of time!

I'm not really into electronics like that, so other than store like Best Buy and Circuit City, I go everywhere...I dont discriminate!! tongue.gif

My main stores are: Wal*Mart, K Mart, Toys R Us, KB Ttoys, Children's Place, Old Navy and Target.

Walmart and Target mostly. Like twoluvbrds mentioned I also look through the ads and if there is something I have to get for someone or for myself I'll go there.

My favorite: Wal-Mart - I start there first and price comp. alot of items from the other stores. Expecially movies & CD's - I usually get there about 3am and go around the store getting what I need to comp. from the other stores and then when it gets closer to sale time (usually 4am), I go to the item I am needing the most that is on their sale. Usually there are a few other family members there also, so I have them grab items that are close to where they are for me (less important items of course).

Then we (my sister and I) usually journey to K-mart, Target, Value City, the Mall, Meijers, pretty much every store in the paper. Our list is decided by what is on sale where and what we need more. We normally do not make it home until about 3 or 4 pm. Well part of that is we also pick up items for my mother and then head to her house to stow away all of our deals until Christmas Eve.

I do the stores by the sales & times they open. I like going with my husband but seems my son picks that day every year to get sick.It is hard shopping for big stuff with no lifting support with you.I have adapted nicely by throwing myself on the box & pulling it toward a cart. Usually someone sticks around to catch the free show & will assist me getting it in the cart.Another twisted tip is once in said parking lot alone if you have secured an excellent parking spot many people circling the lot like buzzards will assist you loading it for your spot.lol.

I like Circut City on Thanksgiving because you can usually order some things online for the Black Friday price.

Kohls is good around 10pm on Thanksgiving because you can order products for the Black Friday price and get free shipping. So no need to hassle with lines, you can find the product you're looking for, and it ships within two weeks. tongue.gif

We usually physically end up at Target, Toys R Us, and Best Buy.

I like target....They make their sales for friday AND saturday! I work in the mall, so the last place I want to be on either of the 2 days is at a store, but, at least that way I can go when I can!

Also, the fact that we have a gajillion targets in town... I can think of 4 between my house & work that I could visit! That way, if one doesn't have something, I move on to the next! yes.gif

Just line up at Best Buy around noon, Thanksgiving day, for the best deals of the year at 5am on Black Friday... then spend the next 11 months paying for it! ohmy.gif Don't forget your sleeping bag though and pray it won't rain. Last year people brought their own portable generators so they could watch TV and play on their computers. Homeless people never had it so good.

Good one fheenix funny.gif

i used to do the walmart thing at 5am but all my stores are now 24hrs & everything is in baskets by 12m-1am.
I do Target for sure...a few years ago, i was pregnant & tried this..it was great to see all the people help me fill my cart & want to help me get stuff so I wouldn't get hurt. biggrin.gif
I now just look to see who is having the best sale & hit that up if they have something i need. smile.gif

I have to shop early in order to be at work by 9am. rant.gif
this year I am off the day after so I will be out & about. yes.gif

I ALWAYS hit Wal-Mart first, then Target and Toys-R-Us. After that I just go to every other store. I've learned that no matter how much you look at the ads, that if you go into the store, there will always be something that either wasn't in the ad, or that you missed. Not to mention, some stores give away things at the door. I try to make a day of it. Yes, when I get home, I crash, but it is so worth it.

JCPenney for the snow globe, Disney Store for the great deals, Victoria's Secret for the gift with purchase and Target for the deals on TV box sets and other goodies. I usually avoid Walmart because the deals aren't that great and they have a VERY limited supply usually. So annoying.... bang.gif

A little off the topic, but does anyone know if Walmart is going to continue to price match this year? I heard a rumor last year that they were not going to do that this year, and I have to admit I was very disappointed. Did anyone else hear that rumor?

But My Walmart only price matches what is within a 30 mile radius. And the only thing we have in that radius is a Kmart, no TARGET or Toys R US or anything...waaaaahhhh!!! So I have to spend alot of time driving!!! lol.gif

Walmart wont price match between other walmarts nowadays (they are now singly owned), so I highly doubt they care enough to price match with another store. I'd hate to be standing in line at the customer service desk for an hour just to get up there and they refuse! So I wouldnt even try it if there are other places to be. That store is going way down hill when it comes to customer service these days.

My top stores that I usually go to are Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, and KMart. I first go to the store that have the most or best of what I want then go from there. My stores are not limited to those stores though. If I see something at other stores I will go there also. If there is a deal I will check out KB Toys, Best Buy, Circuit City, Kohls, Sears, JC Penneys, and any other stores too if I can find what I want. I even found a great deal on a My Little Pony play set at Eckerds for my daughter last year so they were part of my game plan. A lot of my stores open up and hour or two from each other which helps improve my chances of getting what I want.
