Me The Fhee

I must give credit where credit is due and this Inside DealTaker entry was soley inspired by lacywebb’s recent entry ‘Getting To Know You.’ It got me thinking that most users who view our threads, regardless of which forum, only see our DealTaker member name, an avatar, a brief caption and a few stats. While some of us personally know other members, most of us are left wondering who is behind the member name. I know that I wondered the same thing when I first became a member of DealTaker.
My real name is Lisa and I am 35 years old. I live in a small town on the outskirts of Akron, Ohio and I’ve lived here for almost 5 years. Prior to moving here I lived in Syracuse, NY for almost 2 years to work in city group homes. I lived most of my life in NH (was born and raised there) and grew up with lakes and mountains all around me. Growing up we never took vacations to popular places like Disney, but instead we spent the majority of our vacations at a huge, log cabin camp my Father built located 3 1/2 miles in the woods. I’ve had encounters with endless amounts of wildlife, hiked miles of trails and swam in some of the most beautiful lakes.
Back to the here and now…my life is simple and that’s the way I like it. The majority of my time I am on the computer working. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is turn my computer on…the second being turning the coffee pot on. I am a self-confessed workaholic and java junkie. I am incapable of holding a conversation or being productive, though, until I’ve sipped at least a half cup of coffee. Once the coffee is in my system, I am ready to go in full force.
Besides working, I enjoy being outdoors involved in some sort of project. Right now I’m in the middle of a landscaping project and have started to plant some of our flowers and veggies. In my spare time I tend to do constructive things like working outdoors, completing a project indoors or cleaning. It’s extremely rare to find me sitting down reading a magazine or watching TV. I have a hard time sitting still for any length of time to read or watch a movie (no I’m not ADD..LOL). My brain needs to be challenged and active most of the time or I get restless.
If I were to describe myself in three words it would be funny, social and creative. Most of the time I tend to be very witty and sarcasm is my second language. I love meeting new people and good conversation with people makes me very happy. I’m one of those women that can hold a lengthy conversation with the people in the same grocery line as me. I absolutely love to laugh and I will always hold on to the belief that laughter is truly the best medicine.
A few things about me that you might be surprised to know is that I’m an artist, I used to be a Cosmetologist/Massage Therapist, brussel sprouts, asparagus and spinach are some of the foods on my favorite food lists and I am petrified of spiders or any insect that can fly. I have broken a toe several times because I have ran through the house frantically trying to get away from a moth that had gotten into the house.
One of my true passions in life is finding the best possible deals and coupons out there and sharing them with all the wonderful DealTaker members. Since being a part of DealTaker I have stopped shopping at stores and converted into an avid online shopper. I’m just like everyone else in the sense that I want the lowest price on purchases I make and I love nothing more than saving money. I’m constantly taking advantage of the great deals that are posted on DealTaker.
If there is something else you want to know, just ask! Feel free to PM me even if it’s just to say hi and introduce yourself. And, of course, I, along with the other hard working Content Coordinators, are always here to answer any questions you have and we always appreciate feedback.

Two things about Lisa or Sweet Fhee as I call her:
1. Every day for about a year now Lisa greets me with a virtual cup of tea. She never forgets me and every greeting is as enthusiastic as the last. It is funny how much a virtual cup of tea from your friend can help brighten your day.
2. She wears me out. She will do more in one hour than I do in a day. For example; it’s 4pm and she says “OK I’ll am going to do a few things, be back in an hour”
A few things to me is have a bite to eat and check the mail. Maybe put a load of laundry in or wash a few dishes.
Lisa comes back at 5pm and I ask how it went “Pretty good” she says “I cleaned the kitchen and rearranged the living room. Installed that new coat rack I bought, took down the Easter decorations and boxed each one individually (you know since they are homemade). Made Lasagna and have dough rising for fresh bread. Oh and made some no sugar cookies for me and a special homemade black forest cake for Lori…She’ll be so surprised”
This is when I utter the “OMG Lisa you wear me out” statement. Gotta love her – wish I could hire her
