The moments of “I am Proud”

Do you ever have those moments in life where you say, “I helped to do that and I am proud”? As a mother, I know I have many moments where I have looked at my boys and have thought just that. When it comes to my boys, I am a very proud Mom! I remember the first time my oldest looked at someone and said, “Excuse me Ma’am.” He was only 2. Then with my youngest son, his was, “No thank you,” anytime he didn’t want something starting around the same age. It is an amazing feeling of triumph when you see your hard work and efforts come into play for your children, especially with the small things.
I try to bring that way of thinking into all of my life. I have failed many times, trust me! But I like to look at my handy work and say, “I helped to do that.” It is nice to be able to look back and say that I tried the hardest that I possibly could whether I managed to make it better or didn’t help at all. With work, I like to look at what I do as trying to help others. In my past career, in health care, I felt just that way. In my current career path, I feel the same only I am trying to help anyone I can to save some money here and there (hopefully TONS at a time!)
It is fun to watch things change and grow. I am very adaptable and love to see thing move in a better direction. When it comes to my life, I hope that I can look back every year and be proud of the way I handled myself, especially as a mother, friend, and worker!
