My 14 year old niece has asked for an ipod for Christmas. Would this be a good choice or does someone with experience with this age group know if she says ipod she means "only" the Apple product?

My 12 yr old asked for an 'ipod' little does she know she's getting this!

this one is taking will power NOT to order... I've got a creative zen that i love... an ipod i never use... my phone plays mp3s.... so i don't need it.... but, i've been playing that dumb live search game for months trying to earn a free zune.... this is such a good deal & the results would be so much sooner!
