All that said, I have entitled this post “2010 Wal-mart Black Friday Ad” for a reason – and that reason is R-E-S-P-E-C-T.  Wal-mart reached out to us, and all the other Black Friday oriented sites well in advance of the event and asked us not to post their copyrighted materials.  Being a partner with Wal-mart so that we can deliver information to save shoppers time and money, and wanting to respect their request, we have refrained from posting their advertisement for Black Friday even though we have it.  That is not to say we are against the ability to have the users of our site post content.  We really want to.  But, since this company went out of its way to politely ask us not to post it, the least we can do is respect that.  Such respect is a fleeting quality in our “win at all costs” business world.
