Wesabe is an online community geared around saving money. Like DealTaker, it is focused on how people can get more from what they have and save more to get what they want.

A few years back I read an article about a new website called Wesabe. Wesabe is what they call “part money management tool, part community”. Being that I am very detail oriented when it comes to money management, seeing a place I could go online, that was secure, and that allowed me to relate to and with others about ways to save was brilliant. The process of setting up accounts is simple enough and the number of tools available to keep track of spending is great.

They even have a tool that allows one to use Twitter to send in expenses to accounts via a cell phone using the direct message functionality (perfect for me since I enter every receipt and hate it when the gas pump receipt jams). I have used Quicken for as long as I can remember, but now it is time to use the tools that fit my life now – online, community, and cutting edge – Wesabe. Check it out.
