What is RSS?
RSS (abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication) is a Web feed format used to publish frequently updated works-such as deals & coupons, blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video-in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates, images, and authorship. What are RSS Readers?
RSS readers or feed aggregators, also known as a feed reader, news reader or simply aggregator, is client software or a Web application which aggregates RSS feeds in one location.
The reader provides a consolidated view of the content in a single browser display or desktop application. A few popular news readers are Google Reader, FeedReader, Bloglines, FeedDemon, Pluck or, for Mozilla Firefox users, the Sage RSS reader.
