I book a flight to Jamaica I had a problem and could not go when i wanted to go I call on Jan 1 I was told that if I postpone I would be charge two days per person when I did postpone they charge me the total amount of my hotel that was $1300. 00 they told me the person I talk to before was wrong with the info why should I be punish because there employee is not properly informed and gave me the wrong information no one wants to lose &1300.00 and no one can afford to lose that amount of money if I know I would have lose all that money I would have never postpone my trip
Hi Reba - I have had the same thing happen to me and lost a lot of money just like you on another travel site. The only thing to do is purchase travel insurance but that is expensive and your only chance to purchase it is when you make the reservation. Plus most insurance plans don't cover you when your plans change, so you have to be ill with a letter from your Doctor for them to reimburse you. Thanks for sharing your frustration :(
